In 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 global goals known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals aim to create a fairer and more livable world by 2030, addressing economic growth, social well-being, and environmental sustainability together. The SDGs are expected to be achieved through collective efforts by governments, the private sector, civil society, and individuals.

Solutions:

  • Expanding social protection programs to support low-income individuals.
  • Promoting education and vocational training programs to increase employment opportunities.
  • Providing financial support to small and medium-sized enterprises to stimulate economic growth.
  • Encouraging agricultural, livestock, and cooperative projects in rural areas.
  • Strengthening social support mechanisms in areas affected by climate change and natural disasters.

2. Zero Hunger

Goal:

End hunger, ensure food security, promote sustainable agriculture, and make healthy nutrition accessible to all.

Current Situation:

More than 800 million people suffer from chronic hunger. There are significant imbalances in food production and distribution. Low agricultural productivity and food waste are major problems.

Solutions:

  • Supporting small-scale farmers to promote sustainable agriculture.
  • Implementing policies and practices to reduce food waste.
  • Encouraging resilient agricultural techniques to combat drought and climate change.
  • Ensuring that nutritious and healthy food is accessible to everyone.

  • Improving wastewater treatment systems.
  • Ensuring universal access to sanitation services.
  • Encouraging efficient water use in agriculture.
  • Protecting drinking water sources and preventing pollution.

7. Affordable and Clean Energy

Goal:

Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.

Current Situation:

More than 750 million people lack access to electricity. Fossil fuel dependency contributes to climate change, and renewable energy investments are insufficient.

Solutions:
